St. Andrew’s Retreat: Weaving God’s Web: October 13 – 15, 2017
The St. Andrew’s 2017 Retreat will take place over three days on October 13 to 15th, at the Cedar Glen Outdoor Centre in Bolton, Ontario. Only a 45 minute drive from downtown Toronto, the centre is nestled among 263 acres of the spectacular Oak Ridges Moraine, and provides an environment that strengthens the relationships among participants and helps groups discover their potential to come together and celebrate community.
Featuring Keynote Speaker:
Bishop Mark MacDonald, Anglican Church of Canada, will provide an inspirational talk on “Strengthening Community, Sharing Wisdom”.
The Retreat will feature many activities for all ages and fitness levels such as: campfire storytelling, teamwork and community building activities, gentle all-ages yoga sessions, rock-climbing wall, and nature hikes.
Registration will be available online and in person in the coming weeks. Packages will be available for single adults, adults, families and youths. Lodge accommodation with modern amenities or shared space in traditional cabins. Transportation options will also be made available.
About Bishop Mark MacDonald:
In 2007 Bishop Mark MacDonald became the first National Indigenous Anglican Bishop in Canada. He has also been World Council of Churches (WCC) President for North America since 2013. In that year, he was also awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in recognition of his “spiritual leadership” while serving Aboriginal communities and his contributions to environmental awareness of Canadians.
