Copy of A Christmas Carol

Copy of A Christmas Carol

Saturday, Dec 2, 2017

7:30pm – 10:00pm

Back by popular demand! Music at St. Andrew’s presents its second annual FREE dramatic reading of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.

St. Andrew’s historic, candlelit sanctuary will provide an atmospheric setting for Dickens’ beloved Victorian tale. Bringing his colourful characters to life will be classical music educator Rick Phillips, CBC broadcaster Mary Wiens, First Nations mezzo-soprano Marion Newman and tenor Joseph Angelo.

Between readings, St. Andrew’s Gallery and the Congregational choirs will perform popular carols and there’ll be audience singalongs as well. After the program, stay on to enjoy free treats: delicious gingerbread cookies and hot apple cider.

We will also be collecting donations this evening for St. Andrew’s Out of the Cold program. For the last 25 years, this program and its dedicated volunteers have provided healthy, delicious meals for people living on the streets of Toronto. While there are more people than ever responding to our invitation, St. Andrew’s continues to be a place where they can find shelter, a good meal and friends who care. Please help us support the on-going work of this important program.
