Join TV and film producer Miranda de Pencler (Anne with an E) in a panel discussion on the development of film and television in Canada. Award-winning journalist and TV series creator Amy Cameron (Mary Kills People) and Gemini-winning screenwriter Tassie Cameron (Rookie Blue) will join Miranda as they talk about their careers in the rapidly changing entertainment industry.
About Corrine Koslo
Versatile actor born in France, Corrine Koslo grew up in Halifax, Manitoba and Edmonton and is a graduate of the Vancouver Playhouse Acting School.
A member of the Shaw Festival acting ensemble for twelve years, Corrine was most recently seen as Mrs. Lovett in the Festival’s production of SWEENEY TODD. Other recent favourites there include the Duchess of Berwick in LADY WINDERMERE’S FAN, Grace in FAITH HEALER and Lola Delaney in COME BACK, LITTLE SHEBA.
Corrine has performed in stages across Canada for the last four decades and most recently starred in the Shaw Festival revival of MIDDLETOWN at Crowsnest Theatre in Toronto. She has received two Dora Mavor Moore Awards for her roles in Young People’s Theatre’s productions of SEUSSICAL THE MUSICAL and BUNNICULA , Jessie Richardson Awards for her performances in LOVE AND ANGELS (Vancouver Playhouse) and SWEENEY TODD (Arts Club) in Vancouver and a Sterling Award for her Madame Arcati in BLYTH SPIRIT at the Citadel Theatre in Edmonton.
Other favourites include FUNNY GIRL and BEDROOM FARCE (Soulpepper Theatre Company) and THE PENELOPIAD (Royal Shakespeare Company/National Arts Centre).
Corrine is preparing for her third season on the Netflix /CBC hit series ANNE WITH AN ‘E’ where she plays the indomitable Rachel Lynde and has proudly stepped in as the voice of “Emma” in the animated series, Corner Gas for Verite Films, in honour of the late, great Janet Wright.
